Live from LaGuardia

It is 7:09pm. We left Indy at 3:30 this morning. Long day traveling to the clinic as usual. Flight slightly delayed til 5:05 to head back to Chicago (only 25 min late).

Board the plane.

Push back from gate.

Sit still.

Waiting.

Pilot announces trouble starting engine.

Wait for maintenance.

Change E's poopy diaper in airplane lavatory.

Wait.

De-board plane.

Passengers getting boarding passes back one by one to board a new plane to Chicago. Supposed to depart at 8.

Surprisingly I am not in a terrible mood given I am still sitting in my least favorite airport I have ever been to (including two airports in developing countries).  I can't explain it other than God has given me patience and grace that is not of myself. If you don't believe me, read in previous posts about how much I hate LaGuardia. It is a miracle that I am not breaking down in this moment. God's able to provide what we need. I am thankful for his peace.

I am thankful for this:

Expect to get to home tonight by 2:30 or 3am. If you get this, please say a prayer for safety in the air and safety on the road. Thanks and love from us and Grandma Evans.
